At Katharo Training Center - Jiu-Jitsu and Fitness, we’re excited to introduce Budokon Mobility for Jiu-Jitsu, a revolutionary synthesis of solo and partner mobility patterns derived directly from practical Jiu-Jitsu techniques. Unlike traditional methods that focus on repeating singular patterns, Budokon connects continuous solo movements to establish a unique movement language. This innovative approach emphasizes developing fighters as both adept movement athletes and skilled practitioners of Jiu-Jitsu. By mastering unbroken solo patterns, our students naturally enhance their proficiency in the chained partner patterns essential to Jiu-Jitsu.
The term "Budokon" comes from Japanese, where "BU" means warrior, "DO" signifies the way, and "KON" represents spirit—together translating to "the way of the warrior spirit."
Budokon is a fusion of Cognitive Studies, Zen Meditation, Yoga, Mobility, Calisthenics, and Mixed Martial Arts (including Jiu-Jitsu, Wrestling, Muay Thai, Olympic-style Taekwondo, and Japanese Karate) aimed at enhancing the quality of life and promoting longevity.
Our instructor, Steve Hordinski, has embraced this groundbreaking style. As a certified Budokon Mobility partner, Steve has undergone rigorous training to implement this practice into his Jiu-Jitsu, allowing us to offer Budokon Mobility as an integral part of our Jiu-Jitsu curriculum. We are committed to enhancing your training experience with this holistic approach, seamlessly integrating solo and partner patterns to elevate your overall Jiu-Jitsu skills. We invite you to join us and explore how Budokon Mobility for Jiu-Jitsu can transform your practice, combining fluid movement with practical application to achieve greater mastery of the art.
