Resolutions for 2020

2020 Is Upon Us!

In other words…  A new decade is here, and another year has gone by. What better time to think about getting more involved in Denver Jiu Jitsu? Whether you’re new to the art or an old friend it’s the perfect time to get more immersed in Jiu Jitsu in Colorado. The truth found on the mats is hard to find anywhere else, so lets all make a promise to ourselves to get out there more, train harder and smarter. Let’s make Martial arts in Littleton the best in all of Colorado.

New Year, New Goals

It’s a little cliche, but… What goals do you have for your training in the new year? Just making one more training session a week can really improve your overall health and mental state, not to mention your game. How many sessions do you hope to get to this year? Do you have any specific goals for competing? Making it to your first comp ever is a huge accomplishment for 2020.

Maybe you just want to master a single move or position this year. Coach John loves the idea of taking a whole year to truly master a single technique. Why not become a conqueror of  thriving in “bad” positions? What ever you want to accomplish this year, work hard for it. Don’t let the naysayers or the lull of time slow you down. Keep grinding, pushing and don’t stop improving as a person and in your BJJ in Littleton. Whatever your goals are, let us know and we will help you accomplish them!

With the new year people are thinking about ways to better themselves in every aspect. In turn, Colorado Jiu Jitsu is growing every day with fresh faces. Let’s really make the newcomers feel welcome and grow the Katharo family with love and camaraderie. Being part of the Gracie Jiu Jitsu Colorado family gives us a certain responsibility to help as many people learn self-defense in Littleton as possible. If you have been thinking about starting Jiu-Jitsu now is always a better time than later. No need to wait for 2021!

One class is all you need to get hooked

After you try a single session you will feel the calm and happiness that overtakes BJJ practitioners. A feeling that people are always searching for is right here! Jiu-Jitsu is such an outlet for people, the school becomes more like a sanctuary than a gym.

It is crazy how little the mental relief of the art is talked about. In a world where the average person is denied the basic need for physical exertion, Jiu Jitsu is the perfect outlet. Just imagine the feeling of calm after a training session. Why not get one or two more of those a week? Whether you’re mad, sad, or just plan bored… Come to class and work it out! Don’t let you’re friends miss out on the rolling bliss this year, bring them in to try it out. I mean, who is more fun to beat up than your friends?

Learning online in 2020

We know getting to class consistently can be hard because of work, injuries, etc… that’s why Professor Steve started Jiu-Jitsu on the Go. It is a full BJJ home study course, with a giant library of BJJ videos and life style pieces. Consequently  he created a set of BJJ classes online to supplement your training and teach you his core game as well as interesting techniques. There are dozens of free BJJ videos and hundreds of techniques and amazing concepts already on the site. In addition, the number of videos grows weekly, so it is the perfect way to improve your game in the new decade.

We’re here to help!

With the new year here we can’t wait to train with you! We look forward to helping you attain your goals and making this year the best ever. Hopefully you let BJJ become an integral part of you life in the new year. See you on the mats!
