Health & Wellness Philosophy
Fitness and Martial arts training inspires us to advise and encourage people to live healthier lives. You only get one body, so why not treat it right? Not only can exercise and proper nutrition help prevent obesity, certain diseases and many other things; exercise is also a perfect healthy outlet for stress! On top of all that, exercising and eating a healthy diet on a regular basis makes you not only look good, but feel good too. We believe that exercising to develop skill, not just “working out,” is the key to a truly healthy and enjoyable life. The distinction between the two is simple. By the basic definition “working out” involves moving your body a bunch of times to burn calories, loose fat and gain muscle. It doesn’t matter what you do, how you move, or whether you’re improving your physicality in any way, shape, or form. You move your body, get sweaty, lose weight and gain muscle (sometimes). Skill development, conversely, is all about how moving your body can improve your physicality, mental fortitude and proficiency in exercise. It also tends to burn a lot of calories, but that’s not the point. The better you get, the more you improve your abilities (i.e. strength, conditioning, agility, balance, mobility, etc.) and the better your abilities become to continue improving.
Classes Offered
Bootcamp: Looking to boost your heart rate and shred the pounds? Then this class is for you. Workouts are based around Cardio vascular and muscular endurance.
Strength & Conditioning: Are you looking to gain functional strength, power and core stability? Then look no further than our strength & conditioning classes.
Open Gym: This is for unlimited members and can be used during normal business hours.
